PROPERTY TAX AND ASSESSED VALUE

College Station has achieved steady, healthy growth. The city has experienced a 77% increase in total taxable assessed value over the last decade because of rising prices and increases in new construction. The growing assessed values have allowed College Station to maintain a low property tax rate. On a per acre basis, the highest property valuations are in the Northgate area.

SALES TAX

With its expanding economy, College Station has experienced a steady increase in sales tax revenue. About 80 % of taxable sales come from retail, accommodation and food services.
